Pretty sure the structure is still there, maybe, but you’ll have to hold it till you get back to the mainland if you need to use the facilities these days.

I had this postcard as a kid, and was endlessly equal parts fascinated/freaked out by the Cave on Tom Sawyer’s Island: very vivid memories of the dark curving passages and the wooden signs explaining the stalactites, and of course, the ‘bottomless’ pit with the wind howling sound effect and description of the wandering ghost of Injun Joe himself, lost forever in the darkness….
I wish it could still be like it was back then, without all the noisy pirate clutter.
