Aladdin’s Royal Caravan parade, December 1992 at Disney World. This was the first parade ever based off of a single Disney movie.
There were fifty-six parade performers dressed as everything from serfs and rope climbers to acrobats, fire-eaters and even a snake charmer – all to recreate Prince Ali’s grand entrance into the city of Agrabah.
A cast member told me on my last trip that the spitting camels found near the “Magic Carpets of Aladdin” attraction were once part of an Aladdin themed parade the parks had during the 90s. They’re pictured here in their original setting :)
