Disney-MGM Studios Guidemap 1994 by partyhare on Flickr.
Breezy Osborne, of the family that started the “Osborne Spectacle of Dancing Lights” that is now at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, is currently doing an AMA on Reddit.
Super interesting read! I have so much respect for Breezy’s father who started the elaborate light display at their home before it was moved to Disney World.

Happy 23rd Birthday Disney’s
MGMHollywood Studios!“The World you have entered was created by The Walt Disney Company and is dedicated to Hollywood—not a place on a map, but a state of mind that exists wherever people dream and wonder and imagine, a place where illusion and reality are fused by technological magic. We welcome you to a Hollywood that never was—and always will be.”

Since tumblr was down for me the majority of yesterday, I couldn’t share with you the awesome that is Disney’s Hollywood Studios. So to make up for it I’ll be doing so today! All posts about classic MGM-Studios/Hollywood Studios! Here is Hollywood Blvd. long before the Sorcerer Hat was a thought, beautiful isn’t it?
I found this amazing photo of my family and I at MGM Studios aka Disney’s Hollywood Studios in the early 90’s around Christmas time. My shirt is sweet, my hair…..not so much.
The Hunchback of Notre Dame LIVE SHOW at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
I hate that it is no longer running. =/
That’s the one-and-only 40-foot LiMOUSEine that Mickey Mouse rode in style while on a 37-city tour promoting the opening of the Disney-MGM Studios (now Disney’s Hollywood Studios). And what a sweet ride it was (that picture doesn’t do it justice!). Here are some of the LiMOUSEine’s features: Four cellular phones, a radio remote DJ booth, two Sony TVs with VCRs, and four sunroofs. But, the crown gem has to be that hood ornament: a 24-karat gold-plated Tinker Bell. The LiMOUSEine was also equipped with a Sony RDSS Wayfarer Mobile Communication System, which allowed Minnie to pinpoint Mickey’s whereabouts on a personal computer back at home. Very fancy pants for 1989!
