Vintage Ariel - Summer of 1989. This is one of the earliest incarnations of the Little Mermaid. The tail looks like green lamé and her hair appears to be more on the copper side.

A few things about the Jungle cruise:
It opened on the same day Disneyland did
It was a main attraction
The tour guides carry real guns filled with blanks and fire them either to entertain the guests or signal that something has gone wrong.
If you ask a tour guide they will give you a free map of the jungle cruise
When the savages attack the ship if you are really quite you can hear one of them shout “i love disco” about the giberish of the others
Just found this great picture of Aurora’s costume when I first met her in 1999. Okay, so the dress certainly wasn’t ever teal in the movie, but my goodness this was a gorgeous costume. Even as a kid I was stunned. So enjoy some pictures of Aurora’s various dresses through the years (‘bout time I do something with this insane collection I have).
And these aren’t even all of them. There’s like two more purple ones, maybe two more pink, the winterwear… homegirl’s got a lot of costumes!
I know a lot of dresses weren’t included in this, but my favorite was left out so I feel the need to include it.
Her Parade of Dreams dress is so beyond stunning it’s insane.
